About the Company
Health & Safety Worx Limited has been in business in the Bay of Plenty since January 2009 when owner and founder Paul Johnson established the company to provide an HSMS tailored to meet an organisation’s individual needs. Taking a holistic approach to HSMS involving management and workers in the process, the company was founded to promote safety in the workplace and to guide and educate individuals, companies large and small, and other organisations in the systems and processes required to take control of their future health and safety direction.
Legislation dictates what is required to be done under the law. A Safety Management System (HSMS) is the mechanism that ensures what is required by law when legislation, codes of practice and relevant standards are applied to an organisation’s operation. The safety culture of an organisation is the product of individual and group values, attitudes, perceptions, competencies, and patterns of behaviour. These determine the commitment to an organisation’s health and safety management. We are passionate about steering clients to a position of strength and confidence in all facets of their health and safety imperatives.

Paul’s philosophy is summed up in his own words:
“I believe that life is precious, worth living – and preserving. I understand that everything we do in life has an associated element of risk. These risks can be accessed and prioritised. Unacceptable risks can be mitigated and controlled in such a way that the activity is acceptable and can potentially have huge positive outcomes.”Paul Johnson
